How to Make Your Own Homemade Primer!
I know a lot of you probably don't want to spend 18 bucks on Urban Decay's Primer Potion, or anything that might be too expensive. But primer is a must. An eyeshadow primer makes your eyeshadow last longer, makes the color more vibrant, and NEVER lets the shadow crease. The tutorial above (video by GizmoBeauty on Youtube) tells you how to make your OWN primer potion, and the results are amazing!
Okay, so after I made the primer, I decided to test it out. And surprise, surprise it worked! Of course, SOME things were different...
First things first, though, the color definitely is more vibrant than what your eyeshadow would have been without the primer. I compared it to Urban Decay's Primer Potion, and the vibrancy of color was very similar. But one thing I sadly noted down was that when I tried to wash off the makeup, the Urban Decay primer did not scrub away, but unfortunately, the homemade primer did.
But it stays on for many hours, and it's free! Try this yourself and tell me if it works for you too!

Well it's not free, but cheaper yes. I'll give it a try!
I already have Urban Decay's primer potion and Too Faced's shadow insurance... so, maybe I'll try it when I run out of them. We'll see.
I was hoping this would be about how to make the homemade time machine from the movie Primer, but then I realized that would be expecting too much out of this site. :P

Body butter and concealer/foundation... no thanks. Concealer on its own over my lids causes major creasing, and lotion of any kind, even facial lotion, does the same - fine if you have dry lids, not that practical for anyone with pretty oily lids.
My eyeshadow primer lasts, on average, 9 months. So basically, that's 2 bucks a month for a product, or less considering I often don't wear makeup during the summer or during school breaks/weekends. So I see no issue with buying a product that lasts up to a year or longer.
And I have no issue with removing UDPP. But I don't "scrub" away my makeup, I dissolve it with a silicone-based remover. Hell, even if I just rinse my face with water before taking it off, half of my eye makeup is dissolved. I don't see the point in using something like this, since it really isn't free (you still have to pay for the lotion and concealer/foundation, as well as the pot to place it in) and I am happy spending about 2 bucks a month on eyeshadow primer.

What the hell kind of primer are you using that lasts you NINE MONTHS? Mine lasts... maybe a month and a half.

tempted to try.. but i'm scared to make my own makeup..
@hitomineko@xanga - go all in, it actually works as good as any other primer :) i tried it out, so don't worry. my skin is just fine, lol
@raspbxrrryjam@xanga - I guess it just depends on how frequently you wear makeup. Personally my makeup last a pretty long time too, unless my daughter gets into it... She's 3 so when she gets into it, it's ALL gone.
