Should I Try Gel Liner?
Okay so my skin is super duper oily. I like to have it a bit smudgy like but not so that I have dark gray everywhere except from where I originally applied it. I've tried pencil and after about 2 hours I get this dark gray everywhere under my eye and I HATE it!
I tried liquid and I don't like it! Waterprooof is okay but it doesn't make it as dark as I would like so I put the powder on it and that hurts my eyes (my eyes are super sensitive). So I was wondering will gel be any better I haven't tried it would it help with my problem?

YES. it's excellent and highly controllable.
also the color/wear is long-lasting (depending on the product)
I love all different types of liners depending on what look you are really trying to achieve.
see if a friend has it and try it out (clean the applicator brush first, of course.. you do have sensitive eyes). If not then go to a make-up store that has it and ask them to test it out on you... also ask if they have better formulas for your sensitive eyes.
Definitely. Easy to apply, long-lasting, waterproof. I have oily lids myself and I find the liner doesn't find its way to under my eyes for at least 10 hours. It really lasts.
Gel liner is the only one I use! I love it! It better than pencil or liquid! The one I use is Stila's Smudge Pots. They have awesome colors! Plus you can use it as a shadow too. I worked 8 hours doing manual labor, sweating & all & this didnt budge. I love it so much

There's a link. Keep a look out because sometimes they have a gift set which is 3 mini smudge pots & a brush for $32! The one I got had black, gray & bronze.
I never tried the gel kind but I hope it works for you, it's a pretty color
gel is nice, i use it when i want more definition than a pencil. its dark and once you get used to it,its really easy to use!
yu should try PRIMER above all. Your skin is oily, and to keep the liner on, primer should do the trick!
good luck! =]
I haven't used a pencil since trying MACs Fluidline. <3 Doesn't smudge on meeee. && I have oily skin.
i love it.
Try buying something that's waterproof. It will be tougher for the oils in your skin to break it down. Also, make sure you powder your face and buy the correct foundation for your skin type.
YES. Gel eyeliner is awesome for being true to colour and smudgeable. You can really get it smooshed into the lash line and it stays on. If you have trouble with eyeliner falling below your lashline, try dabbing a bit of translucent powder underneath OR put a dark eyeshadow on top of the pencil if it won't bug your eyes.
@Shinbi_Belldandy@xanga - great advice!
I heard gel liner is amazing!! I just bought some of Victoria's Secret new liquid glitter eye liner and I just used my eyeliner brush because I can't use the applicator it game with. :)
Try MAC's fluidline. Its similar to gel, but you kind of paint it on.
does gel eyeliner come in pots only? are there any in stick form??
Yes, it stays put better. I have the same problem. I think the best is the powder eye liner from BareMinerals though. I was surprised because I thought a powder would smudge more. They also have a great eye-makeup primer that helps keep everything in place. I have yet to find a mascara that doesn't smudge though! Even the waterproof ones tend to smudge under my eyes.
A good gel liner doesn't smear. I have oily skin too, and pencils just run everywhere on me after an hour or two. If you don't want to pay too much for a dept. store brand, try loreal's. That's what I used and it's great. Lasts so much longer than anything else I've tried
I know you say you hate liquid liner but honestly I have the exact same problem, well HAD, until I tried this-

It will honestly last me 2-3 days if I don't purposefully take it off. . .so it's def. worth a try.
And the black is REALLY black.
Use revlon color stay pencils. THAT WILL NOT BUDGE.
Yes. L'oreal Hip is the best.
Or MAC.yes. i love gel eyeliner! good stuff. lasts foreverr.
gel liner <3 i ditched the pencil ones after i found these! ~ they stay on unlike the pencils n they smudge a lot less (if they smudge at all)!!! A definite recommend from me ~
@outofherdamnmind@xanga - Thank you! =D
i guess im just weird because i tried the mac fluidline several times..
and both times it smudged. it was horrible.. i get that line on the middle of my lid.
and its RIDICULOUSLY hard to take off! it just doesnt budge.
Gel is the best, hands down. Easy to control, easy to alter, dark and yet not too harsh.
Go for it. I recommend Bobbi Brown brand, it's a little on the expensive side but WORTH IT.I want to try gel eyeliner too... I wasn't sure about it but after reading the comments, I think I will!
I have oily skin and gel/cream liners work really well on me without smudging or rubbing off.
