To get more out of your mascara- and maximize your lashes- try these insider tricks...
1. Start by curling your lashes. Gently pinch lashes at the roots and then move along the length, making pulse-like squeezes as you go.
2. Apply mascara by wiggling the wand back and forth at the roots to deposit as much of it as possible before pulling the wand straight up.
3. To make lashes look long and separated, apply three coats of mascara—but comb through the mascara while it's still wet with a clean, dry mascara brush.

Wiggling the wand can make your lashes look fuller, but I've found that sometimes it can make your lashes look clumpy.
I hate putting on more then one coat. I can never seem to get it right, it ends up looking like a clumpy mess! =(
So that's how they do it lol . I only was using one coat , thanks for sharing it
.
I also use only one coat for my lashes. It's time to make amends. Thanks for this post!
I always apply 2 or 3 coats. I'm surprised you didn't even mention false lashes!
Good tips, thought I don't often wear mascara (or any other eye makeup) because I usually forget and rub the hell out of my eyes!
I've been testing out the L'Oreal Lash Serum to help promote lash growth HOPEFULLY, which got pretty good reviews overall (such as on makeupalley)
I'm glad you didn't give the advice to use false eyelashes! I had to wear them once when i was in a musical and they were HORRIBLE!!! I felt like I had to struggle to hold my eyelids open and they constantly felt like they were pulling. I was also afraid one would fall off.
Jesus, that girl is really thin.
I already wiggle the brush, apply a few coats and separate the lashes. I don't need to use a lash curler, though. If I apply the mascara properly, it'll curl my lashes upwards naturally. The angle at which my abnormally long lashes curl if I do use a curler is bad because then they'll scrape against the lenses of my glasses, and I hear a faint "whoosh" every time I blink. Very annoying.
Another tip: don't pump your mascara brush in the bottle. That'll just drive air into it and dry it up quicker.
thats girls make up is done really well
the girl in the picture is so stunning!
LOVES
@awokenfatality@xanga - she looks fine to me . . . :|
@methodElevated@xanga - makes sense as to why my brand new bottle of mascara looks dry already . . . . thanks (:
Close your eyes and apply the mascara.
It pushes your eyelashes up and makes them thick, but clean.
:D
did anyone else notice the tape beside her eyebrows? lol
did anyone else notice the tape beside her eyebrows? lol
great advice.
Long eyelashes don't look right on me :-/ not the way I've tried,at least.
Maybe because my eyelashes are already long :-/
Some girls over do it - it ends up looking like the have centipedes on their eyes.
she looks effing hott
I always apply a lot, but I'm not a fan of curling my lashes. So I do the ol' business card trick and i kinda pull on the lid with it and then apply most of the mascara at the roots then, it tends to make them curl more.
hmm never tried the comb, i should, thanks for the advice :)
it is hard for me to put on more than 1or 2 coat....
