Inspiration: Starry Night Eyes

I tend to stay away from extremely dark blues and silvers but I decided to give them another try with this look. Keeping the dark blue low on my lid, blending upward into a more skin toned color really seemed to work better for me rather than bringing the blue high up on my brow bone.

With the added touch of sliver glitter this look would be perfect for a night out, especially with New Years coming up!

that blue is beautiful, but I'm not so sure about the eyebrows. I go for a more natural look.

3. Very pretty colors, but it's too much. The eyebrows are too made up also. If the blue wasn't under the lashes, I would like it much better as the lid is very beautiful. ^^

I'm gonna go against the current grain and say how much I love this look. Yes the eyebrows aren't my style, but they're well done and have a great shape. But I love love loooove the eyeshadow. :o)

that's gorgeous. i think it would be better if the blue wasn't on the lower lash line though, or if it was much thinner.

I'm lazy. I hate being critical, but I think it's not such a bad thing to champion natural looks in a beauty-related discussion.

@PerkyPunk8064@xanga - right, I agree. This is not even close to being intended as a subtle look-- its entire point is to be bold. In that capacity it is well-executed and aesthetically pleasing. I agree the the brows are also technically well-executed but restraint combined with technique is probably a better choice on the eyebrow front.

the eyeshadow is pretty,, but I don't see myself wearing it in that color. I would if I were 10-15 years younger. Personally I like seeing it from all angles. It makes it easier to reproduce if I were to do it myself.

i can think of a better way to do this eyeshadow with a lesser amount of materials and equipment - i don't think all of those materials are necessary to be caked on your eyelid, but it does look nice. the eyebrows are a little creepy.
