Help End the Search of My Life!
From the Drug Store brands to the more prestigious ones, I can't seem to find a foundation that satisfies my decent needs. All I am asking for is natural looking, medium to heavy coverage, doesn't break me out, liquid. That is all! How hard can that be?
- Revlon's colorstay-Too cakey and heavy, not my colors (Even tried applying differently 1000x)
- Revlon's MOUSSE colorstay: VERY VERY cakey, unnnatural.
- L'oreal's True match: broke me out, and way too runny/watery
- Maybelline's Age Rewind: Not my color, very sheer
- MINERAL ID (sephora brand)- Little to no coverage and wears off, skin gets flaky when I apply no matter how much I moisturize.
What is your favorite foundation you swear by? Any suggestions?

laura mercier tinted moisterizer? try that.
MISSHA BB CREAM - it has spf 42 !!! , it's really goodddd and smells nice
I use CoverGirl Clean make up. It's light, but covers anything that I want covered. I don't have acne though, just certain parts of my skin turn red in the winter and I want that covered. It's inexpensive, but it works better than any of the more expensive things I've tried.
leniege! :)
If you want a decent full coverage foundation/powder that doesn't make you like 12 or 60 years old...then I would seriously recommend Clinique. I've been a devote face customer for 10 years. They really do have a foundation/color for everyone....
I use perfectly real, and it blends in extremely well and feels like you're wearing nothing, but it does cover blemishes really well. The only thing with that is moisturize first if you have dry skin, it does pick up those flakes.....Otherwise, their stay matte is also a great powder, and the superbalanced is great for those of us that have dry and oily skin.
Bare Minerals. I used to think it was weird, but now I use it per my dermatologist's instructions. It covers very well, and is so super light on your skin that you won't even feel it. Give it a try!
MAC Studio Fix Fluid... it's heaven sent, I swear! It melts into my skin and looks like I have nothing on... despite the fact that it's making my skin tone impeccably even! You can mix it wish a moisturizer for a tinted moisturizer-like effect, or you can use it with a stippling brush for a more airbrushed look which will be heavier coverage.
After that, if you still want more coverage, try their Studio Sculpt foundation. The stuff will make your skin flawless. It's a gel based foundation and honestly... if this stuff doesn't do it for you, then you're out of luck lol.
MAC has tons of color selections too, which makes it even better! And
if after the foundation you think you need a little more coverage, then
finish the look with their Select Sheer powders. MAC also has a great return policy, if you get something you end up not loving.
anna sui moisturizing foundation (:
MAC Studio Fix Fluid
IF YOU HAVE ACNE PRONE SKIN
Do yourself a favor and get yourself some Bare Essentials. It covers well, and it will help STOP the acne from occuring. It breaths, it's the only thing that doesn't make me break out. I used to have cystic acne and bare essentials CHANGED MY LIFE.
(I've used estee lauder, clinique, almay, neutrogena, and physicians formula and they ALL made me break out.)
I would *very* highly reccomend Almay's TLC (Truly Lasting Color)--if you are wanting higher coverage without it feeling heavy, and if you are wanting to cover acne without your makeup being gross, do yourself a favor and buy it. I started wearing it when nothing else would cover my acne, and now that it's cleared up, I still love it.
OH BABYGIRL!! You want a natural coverage, less cakey
THE BEST
CLINIQUE PERFECTLY REAL;;; THE BEST!
I use Covergirl Simply Ageless. It's working out well, It covers nicely, I can use it as a concealer and luckily, even though I'm NEVER able to find the right shade, I finally found one. On the first try mind you. I also don't have to use powder with it but I do anyway. :)
