  • You Must Learn How to Read Labels!

When I saw the post claiming that Organix shampoo is organic...I was shocked. Have any of you ever picked up a bottle of that and looked at the ingredients?

If you read ingredients labels and could recognize what's what, you would realize that it is about 98 percent NON-ORGANIC ingredients.

If you don't have the time, make sure you look for a USDA organic label on the product your buying that claims to be "organic." This certifies that it's at least 95 percent organic.

Most products out there with the name organic on them...are not organic. There aren't that many regulations on that market so companies can put whatever they want on the bottle.

It's good to go to trusted sites like saffronrouge.com in order to find organic products. I really like saffron rouge, they personally check all their products to make sure it's both organic, animal friendly AND that it works. Plus you get free samples with each purchase! Let's be smarter consumers Lovelies!

Do you know what ingredients to look for? What tips can you offer other Lovelies?

I totally agree with you on the Organix shampoo thing! There are still harmful chemicals in there along with genetically modified ingredients..
A product can be called "natural" or "organic" if it has just ONE natural/organic product in it. Most of the times when products are called "natural" it's because an ingredient comes from a natural root or such. Still doesn't mean it's safe..
Also cosmeticsafetybase.com is really good for informing customers on how safe a product is.

I usually read the ingredients and try to indentify some of the main ingredients that I recognize.  Always do the research before you purchase products, so you're not wasting money and time only to find out that it doesnt work
