Pupa is a brand that I don't see get a lot of blog coverage, I think there are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly I think it's at an awkward price point - the average price point is about $25-30 which is not far off Mac. Compared with other brands at Priceline (where Pupa is stocked in Australia) it's definitely one of the most expensive and I can't say I find the packaging entirely enticing either.
However, I own three of their eye shadows which I use regularly and often recommend to other people. They're great quality and are very similar to the Mac Mineralize eyeshadow but with stronger pigmentation. The Luminys range are baked eyeshadows with a very shimmery, metallic finish. Each shade features an overall base shade and subtle veining in another color. They can be used wet or dry, wet usage provides ultra-high pigmentation and and a frosty metallic finish. From the Mac Mineralise eye shadows that I have tried, I can say that I think the Pupa Luminys eye shadows are better quality overall.
Swatches...

#2 - is a SUPER glittery shade, beware of fall out with this one (I find if you use over a base and 'press' the color on rather than swipe it applies like a dream, with little fall out). The base shade is a pale, rosy copper and features fine veins of a deeper more orange toned copper. It's very pretty, especially on hazel or green eyes as it will make the color really stand out. I love this applied all over the lid for a super easy yet glam look.
# 5 - is also quite glittery, this shade has a beautiful ivory base that is neither warm nor cool toned. The veins in this shade are very fine and bronze in color. I love this shadow applied to my brow bone for a glam highlight shade (provided I don't pick up any of the copper veining, which is easy to do). This also looks lovely dabbed onto your cheeks bones or cupid's bow for a little extra shine. This is my most used shade.
#6 - Rich, shimmery deep chocolate brown. The copper veining in this shade provides an overall warm glow and really heightens the richness of this shade. I find Shade #6 to be a lot smoother than #2 and #5, it's more glowy than glitter which I think is evident in the swatch picture above. This makes for an amazing smoky eye shade or works perfectly in the crease or outer V for a more defined look.
Overall, I really love these shadows. My #5 has major dints in the areas between the veining from constant use. I would love to get my hands on a few more shades as the range also includes two stunning pink shades, turquoise blue, green, deep purple and black amongst others. Pupa also has blushes in the Luminys range which I have been dying to try out.
Have you heard of Pupa products before? Do you like these eye shadows?
