I consider myself an eco-friendly person. I use organic products for groceries, household cleaning, and even in fashion. However, the one area I have trouble making the green switch to is my beauty products.
I use some, such as Burt Bee's Lip Balm and Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. However, I tried organic shampoo and it dried out my hair. I also don't want to switch my skincare routine because I have sensitive skin so I'm sticking with my Apricot Scrub and Cetaphil.
What organic beauty products do you use? How organic are you with your beauty products?

i loooove my burt's bees lip balm.
i'm also "no-pooing" twice a week right now and loving it. my hair's going through its greasy phase right now but it doesn't look it, it's less frizzy and holds style wayyy better.
i'm looking for a lot of all-natural or mostly natural alternatives to things, like lotion and facewash. if anyone has any suggestions, lemme know.
i love burt's bees lemon poppyseed facial scrub stuff. i use organic body wash, but have found the only organic like shampoo i like is the coconut organix and this isn't purely organic-plus there is the cost of these products to consider.
i don't purposefully seek organic products, but i'm guessing some of them are?
I buy whatever is on sale. I dont ever purposely buy organic. I always recycle though! :)
I am trying so hard to be as organic as I can but it is sooooo expensive!
Not at all.
I don't, or at least I don't think I do.
I am not at all organic with my beauty products. I pay more attention to what I eat.
I'm all organic- the products are there, you just have to look very hard for them!
Organic make up is so important. We apply it on our faces, closest to body openings (nostrils, mouth, eyes)... it's up close and personal, so we should be watching out for what's in it!
Shampoos, lotions, soaps, conditioners etc are all organic.
Make up I buy the eco friendly stuff but it's not organic I'm sure
saffronrouge.com has completely organic stuff, they check it for you and make sure it works
Found I'm in college, and I'm on a meal plan, so I can't be organic with that
@soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga -
Try some Lush products!
They're amazing.
mm I honestly don't care whether my products are organic or not. I go with what agrees with my skin. If it's organic, then that's just a plus !
@enjoytheunknown@xanga - thank you! <3
i recently bought some organic eye makeup remover and...i was very disappointed. i'm sticking to my baby oil.
is st. ive's apricot scrub organic?
ahaha probably not. because that's the closest thing i have.
I'm not organic...I'm local!
@soyeahthatswhathappened@xanga - Yay for no poo!! It's pretty great once your hair gets used to it. I did it for about 4 months, but after I got highlights my hair was too dry & couldn't handle it. So I'm back on shampoo, but I only use it every 5 days. In between I just don't even get my hair wet, and it looks good! Now I can't even believe I used to shampoo every day! lol
I'm not rich enough to be organic.
I buy Simple Skincare products. They work great on me.
I use a lot of Organic Wear stuff. I'm a VERY eco-friendly person :)
I use their face powder, and their mascara. I LOVE the mascara! It's got so much fewer chemicals and nastiness.
I use L'Oreal bare naturale blush, but I want to go to Organic wear.
I basically hate more chemicals than necessary on my skin.
I hope that you can make the switch that's good for your skin, and for the earth :)
@iheartemo26@xanga - i love no-pooing, my hair is all done its greasy phase and now it holds style like a dream :)
I buy Glutton free things for me..And buy fruits and veggies..not a serious heath nut..but I watch what I eat since I cant have Glutton almost at all.. >.<
