Beer Is Good For Your Skin

So yesterday I came across this article in a Dutch newspaper... It said that even though drinking alcohol isn't good for you, rubbing it on your skin is.
Narine Nikogosyan is a beauty expert and helps celebrities such as Jessica Alba and Charlize Theron. She wrote a book called ''Return to Beauty'' in which she gives you a lot of tips to make your skin look good. She writes that rubbing honey and yogurt on your skin is good for your skin. You could also mix alcohol (beer, vodka, gin) with your lotions or other facial products and apply that to your skin. It works because alcohol disinfects and strengthens your skin.
So would you try this? Do you think it works?

i'd rather not smell like an alcoholic.
My skin is fine the way it is.
Maybe I will try it once? I would like to pick up that book though, it looks useful.
I always thought alcohol was drying and that's why toners with alcohol are bad. Perhaps I'm wrong. Honey is great though. It seems kinda wrong since it's so sticky, but it actually makes your skin super soft after you wash it off. I agree about wanting the book though.
i have better uses for my vodka, thanks. :)
I know that champagne is also good for your face skin and works like a toner.
Why not just use a toner that's designed for your face instead of trying to make your own concoctions?
I've heard that washing with beer instead of water is good for your hair as well. Kind of weird...not sure if I'd ever try it.
BEER. TOGETHER WE SHALL GET RID OF BLEMISHES AND SKINNY JEANS
i've not heard abt beer being gd for skin.. but i've definitely read somewhr about it being good for hair.. as in using it to rinse instead of drinking!!
I heard about this. Also there is some place where they have pools specifically for beer. Sounds weird but I saw it on the Travel Channel :)
Well, I know that beer is great for your hair and in theory, would be good for your skin- the alcohol content isn't high enough to be drying (like toner), but I'd rather drink the beer than pour it on me!
great article, why not give it a try,. .does anyone know what would be good for healing stiches,
drinking alcohol is a source of fucking silicon, stupid bitches.
also, fuck ya'll I ain't wastin my fucking alcohol.
that's kind of interesting actually!
Mmmmmmmm, beer.
Hmmm... no wonder I don't have much blemishes. I drink beer at pubs every weekend.
I've heard of this before.
@XxQuT3nShYxXBX@xanga - i had stiches and generally cocoa butter is great
sounds great and it wouldnt hurt to try =]
That sucks for me, the liquor store cashiers never believe me even when I am actually a 23 year old and have a legit California driver license.
potentially :O
Why not just use rubbing alcohol if it's for disinfecting?
Honey and yogurt is pretty common knowledge, but beer for skin I've never heard of......but why is it you couldn't just mix rubbing alcohol with your facial products?
hmmm interesting LOL
