Versace's Fall 2009 runway show gave us cobalt eyes (among other designers). Makeup artist Pat McGrath has shared her tips on how to wear this trend for the season.
She suggests wearing your typical smoky eye for going out at night then adding a hint of blue shades. Be bold and pair the look with pale, nude lips. To achieve this look she suggests using a cream concealer and adding a clear gloss. For the best blues try Dolce & Gabbana Smooth Eye Colour Duo in Sky. As well as Lacome's Le Crayon eyeliner in Black Ebony and smudge the color into the crease of your eye.
Just be careful not to look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. What do you think of this look? Would you wear it?

This would be great for a party, or dinner or whatever. But I wouldn't wear this on a regular day...becuase I don't really like wearing any makeup.
But It's really pretty! And I think it looks great on that girl
Blue complements my brown eyes, so I'd wear it. I'd only wear hints of blue during the day, and go more dramatic (as above) for night.
Intense eyes!
maybe i'll the toned down version sometimes ~ but i was never a fan of blue eyeshadow ><
I wear a blue smokey eye to go out, I love it!
Hmmm... I have to learn to put on really thick eye makeup. (I usually just wear eyeliner.)
ooo...i like the look, i'm always trying different looks especially if i'm going to go out for drinks or dinner parties.
she looks scary.
I love wearing blue eyeshadow! Smashbox's Muse eyeshadow palette and Kat Von D's Metal Orchestra palette are both great for blue shadows ;)
that is gorgeous!
looks dramatic, but i like it :D
If I actually knew how to properly apply makeup I would totally rock that look.
I like it. Blue is my favorite color.
uh... i would try it.. but i'm too scared... i have intense blue eyes already.. is blue on blue too much?
I love blue eyeshadow!!
yes
It looks nice, but I can't pull off makeup like that beneath glasses.
Not flattering for hazel green eyes. Pass.
Meh...I have a hard time pulling off blue eyeshadow. It seems to bring out any redness in my eyes and skin. Not good.
I have really green eyes with olive undertoned skin, if anyone were to wear this they should be slightly pale complected, darker complected skin clashes too much
I don't wear blue eyeshadow. I just don't like it. Let me clarify...I don't wear light blues. They seem clownish and trampy to me,but it may be just because the color does not suit me.If someone can rock the blue eyeshadow and not look odd while doiing, then more power to them.BTW..I clicked on this article because I wanted a closer view of the model. She looks unwell...
i can't pull that off...especially having my name being mimi.. i'll definitly be made fun of haha
At first glance, I thught she was bald. Anyway, the eyeshadow looks nice.
Wow! Intense. I don't think I'd be able to pull it off.
I'd wear it. :)
