Is There a Miracle Cure for Stretch Marks?
Let me preface this by saying that I'm a teenage girl, and I've never had a child...just weight gain.So in a world where we have creams that can make you look younger, a injectable drug to tighten your face, and surgeries to fix anything you hate about yourself...what is the best way to get rid of stretch marks?

i don't think there is a way to really get rid of them, but they can be prevented.
I guess more so in pregnancy, because you're expecting your skin to stretch.
I put palmer's cocoa butter formula tummy butter on my stomach when i was pregnant, and i didn't get a single stretch mark. but i did get them on my thighs, where i didn't put any.
i think just keeping your skin moisturized helps a lot.
I've heard that the Egyptian Magic Cream helps get rid of stretch marks. But, it depends on how old they are. You can buy the product on ebay or go to their website and see if there is a store location near you. That and drugstore bio oil as well. You have to apply is regularily though.
i think most of them fade the shades of it, but not remove it completely
Try cocoa butter
Exfoliate and moisturize. It will lighten the appearance, but I don't think there's any miracle that makes them go away.
The vast majority of people have stretch marks anyway, I don't see what the big deal is. I think chances are if you went through puberty and did the normal thing, which is gain weight during puberty because you're a growing child, stretch marks just come with it.
BIO OIL!
There's a cream that new mothers use just after giving birth... I heard that it works well with anybody at all... I forgot what it's called, unfortunately. The name had a medical tone to it. The only thing I remembered when I learned about it is just that pregnant/new mothers' cream works well with wrinkles and stretch marks.
I'm glad this post was made. I didn't know stretch marks came so fast at one point in pregnancy. after having my first son I got them on my belly thighs, and butt. They are light colored now. I'm pregnant again (29 weeks) and I have been slapping on cocoa butter like I had a cocoa butter gold mine just to prevent new ones from coming. If anyone has ever used anything that helped even reduce or rid stretch marks please let me know.
cocoa butter!
I hate the smell of cocoa butter, does anyone else know of something that doesn't have a strong smell?
I've heard of using cocoa butter but haven't tried it personally
bio oil! its really good!! I used it on my stretch marks on my bum when i lost weight....and you can barely notice them anymore! lol!!
Hydration really helps, and massages can as well.
I have stretchmarks due to weight gain. I even consulted a doctor on the matter... no luck of a miracle cream, but she suggested laser surgery (damn doctors).
I heard the cocoa butter was good, but they just lighten them up. So far I am using a lotion with cocoa butter in it.. so I am hoping, but maybe if I lose the weight they will go down? I dunno...
If anyone used anything that really helped.. then please... share :)
Cocoa Butter!
I have them horribly on my legs (didn't gain any weight and have chicken legs, just...have them, and always have) and nothing has ever made them go away. Thusly I assume nothing will. I hear cocoa butter works well for prevention, though.
No cure, sorry. It's scar tissue. Don't bother wasting money, just look into getting laser treatments.
Bio-Oil doesn't do shit. Don't waste your money.
take a vitamin e gel capsule, use a pin needle and poke it into the capsule and squeeze the vitamin e out and apply it to the stretch marks, it'll slowly disappear. it works.
other than genetics (not being prone to them to begin with), there is no really good way to get rid of stretch marks. You can fade them.
I've heard cocoa butter is really good to use and so is vitamin E oil
@mewithoutu77@xanga - wow really? I might have to try that haha :]
@rAzOrKisS09@xanga - when i used to work at the pharmacy, a lot of women used to ask the pharmacist about stretch marks and that's what the pharmacist recommended.
@mewithoutu77@xanga - wow than I'm definitely trying it! thanks for the tip :]
there's no way to make stretch marks disappear completely, since they're scars. to mask the appearance of them, you can try scar treatments, such as mederma and to keep from getting anymore, moisturize daily.
