The Skin Benefits of Seaweed
Seaweed is very good for skin. As much as we love to eat it with our sushi rolls, some of us may be hesitant to use to on our bodies let alone faces but after you read this you may change your mind.Seaweed:

While in college a friend a told me she takes a kelp supplement because it is good for the skin. I started taking it, but never really got into a habit of doing so. A big mistake I made was I started taking it without even doing some research as to what kelp or any seaweed really does. I also researched kelp, which is known to give skin a healthy glow, when used in a powder form it exfoliates and is good for face masks. It removes surface impurities and toxins. Recently I got into the habit of taking the kelp, but it has not been long enough to be sure that it is doing anything. The kelp supplement I have is in a tablet that can be opened up. In the near future, I plan on opening a tablet or two and mixing it with extra virgin olive oil (because of the amazing things I recently discovered it does) and making myself a mask. When I do I will let you all know how it went.

I work as a beauty specialist at a kohls department store and we actually sell a moisturizer that is seaweed based. And Pomegranate is also very good for the skin. We have a moisturizer with that as well. These are both made by Grassroots Research Labs.
I've actually done this before. And I take cod liver oil supplements.. it makes my skin clearer, my skin glows, and my hair is shiny and healthy.
I've heard about the benefits of seaweed before. Making a mask out of the kelp supplement seems nice(:

it's good in miso soup (i think it's japanese?) with little tofu chunks... but sushi still beats all!

Actually, it's been said that seaweed, despite its many possible beauty benefits, causes inflamation aka acne because of its iodine content. But it depends on the person I guess since besides knowing people who stay away from seaweed at all costs, I also know people with perfect skin who eat seaweed. But I think it's safer to stay away from it if you're acne-prone.

I'm assuming we need to use 'special' skin-care grade sea week right? Like we can't just open a few slices of those store bought sea wee (for sushi) and put it only our faces? Where can one buy those? Or are there sea weed masks? I've only used a mask once tbh it felt kinda.....weird? Altho I do wash my fash with facial (sand) scrubs regularly but am willing to try the sea weed stuff if somebody told me what kind to use or where to buy it ^.^

i've had a seaweed mask way back and it really helped control my breakouts, cleared my skin out a bit. but i think you have to have the seaweed mask regularly for it to work really well.
eating seaweed makes fart smell real bad.. my lil bro loves snacking on seaweed alone, i can't describe the smell aftermath.

Anyway, oddly enough, I did find that the hair mask really softened my hands more than it did my hair!
