I've been going to the dermatologist for two months now. My endless years of suffering from acne have finally come to an end and my skin is healthier than it has ever been. I have three medicines to put on my face in the morning (clinda tret, melfade and sunblock) and two in the evenin(clinda tret and tri cream).
Here comes the problem, the melfade (which is short for melanin fade) makes my face look white. I love it, I really do. But the thing is, I neglected putting medicine on my neck. So the color of my face is different from my neck!
My doctor told me to put melfade on my neck and I've been doing that for two weeks already. I know I can't expect it to work like magic in just a few applications, but I can't bear looking at my face and neck at the same time.
When I put on loose foundation, it quickly fades away. I don't want to put too much because it goes on the neckline of my top. But I have to put makeup on my face because I'm required to have it in school.
Help! What should I do? Have you ever had the same experience ?

you should put this on you neck and in some time the color will be the same.. i think. good luck
To make your neck lighter, keep using the melfade on your neck, and exfoliate your neck to reveal lighter and newer skin.
Perhaps tackle this the other way, & try a tinted moisturiser to make your face a bit darker, just while the melfade works its magic on your neck? x
Try putting on slightly darker face makeup, and then using a lighter version of it on your neck. Find something that blends well!
Wear shirts with a deeper cut neckline?
i doubt anyone else is noticing.
also toner helps with the fading of color. it will change with time. all it takes is patience.
While you wait for the results of the melfade to work on your neck, just use bronzer/tinted moisturizer on your face to almost match the color of your neck.
Or you could wear a light scarf : ) Those are cute.
Unless it's like drastically ten shades different though, I really don't think other people will notice?
I'm like that too. My face is very pale but my arms get very bronze from the summer sun. It's not a problem, but then again, I don't know the difference in your skin tones. It might be drastic.
You're required to wear makeup at school?
You can try tinted moisturizer. It's pretty light.
I'm the opposite. Acne meds made my face more sensitive to sunlight, so my face is darker than my neck and chest.
I agree with those who said to put some darker makeup on your face. NOT TOO DARK. Just... a shade darker so it matches your neck.
Your skin'll match up eventually. Be patient :)
