I had my first beach trip on Memorial Day which has me inspired and obsessed over bronze summer beauty. To me, there is nothing more gorgeous than the tan, glowing skin the sun gives us and I absolutely love playing it up with a few key products. Check out how I love to achieve a bronze glow!
On clean, moisturized skin, use your hands to apply a lightweight foundation or tinted moisturizer. I absolutely love Bobbi Brown's BB creams because they provide a natural finish, great coverage and sun protection. Because they are so blendable and natural, I can even get away with using one a half a shade darker than my face in order to match my chest (which is usually darker than our face) and emphasize the beginnings of my tan. For any concealing, be sure to use something super light weight, like Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat.
Use a large, fluffy brush to apply a matte bronzer (I'm a huge fan of MAC's Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze). I've found that the best way to apply bronzer is to swirl your brush around in the product, throughly tap off any excess and then start your application at the very back of the cheekbones, near your hairline. This is a great way to keep your bronzer from looking obvious. Then use continuous small, circular motions to blend your bronzer all over your cheekbones, on your temples, on your forehead near the hairline and on your jawline and neck.
A bronze cream shadow like Bobbi Brown's Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze gives your eyes the perfect summer glow. Just scribble this giant crayon all over your lid and blend out softly with a clean finger. I also love Bobbi Brown's Long Wear Cream Shadow in Beach Bronze applied with a finger. Curl your lashes and then apply a subtle coat or two of a long-wear mascara.
I'm absolutely loving Benefit's Coralista as a summer blush, and it looks absolutely perfect with this bronzy look. Dust a little bit of a coral blush on your cheekbones and then apply a neutral or beige-toned highlighter like Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal on the tops of your cheekbones, to the inner corner of your eyes, on your brow bone and on your cupid's bow.
Lovelies, would you wear this bronze glow makeup look?
